The Hermès watch making tradition dates back to the 1920s, when the company began to apply its renowned saddle making skills to crafting fine leather straps for timepieces. Through La Montre Hermès, the House’s own manufacturing plant established in Biel (Switzerland) in 1978, Hermès brings its elegance and style to the world of watch making.

In 2006, Hermès acquired 25% of the Vaucher Fleurier Manufacture, reinforcing its presence and legitimacy in the field of mechanical watchmaking. Combined with the iconic models of the House, these new movements are the result of innovation, creativity and excellence and carry the Hermès heritage into the world of fine timepieces.
