Admiral's Cup Tides 48
This splendid watch has an expressive name: the Admiral’s Cup Tides Competition 48. With this new version of one of the flagship models in the Admiral’s Cup line, CORUM once again asserts its determination to combine tradition and innovation. Still well anchored in its marking system dating back to 1983, this tides watch continues to replace numerals by nautical pennants corresponding to the first 12 numbers in the International Code of Maritime Signals. However, it goes well beyond this basic principle, making this watch a powerful embodiment of technical feats and sporting elegance.
A caramel dial, 3 applied gold counters, 10 chevrons and two numerals (the 60 at 12 o’clock and the 30 at 6 o’clock) applied and rimmed in solid gold, 12 colorful nautical pennants painted on the flange – and all topped by a vulcanized rubber bezel perfectly fitted on the rose gold case.

The famous Tides CO 277 movement, exclusively developed for CORUM by Dubois Dépraz, needs no introduction, faithfully fulfilling its assigned duty of providing valuable information on the state of the tides with its customary accuracy and reliability. The twelve-sided sapphire crystal, a world-first achievement, required the development of new techniques resulting in superlative quality. Thanks to the micro-ray finish on each angle of the crystal and on the shaped seal that bonds with each of the 12 faces of the crystal, contact with the seal is optimal and guarantees perfect water-resistance (to 300 meters). Moreover, the creation of the Admiral’s Cup Tides was clearly governed by a quest for perfection in each and every detail. Matching the intense efforts lavished on creating a twelve-sided glass, CORUM also devoted a good deal of energy to producing a flawless and inimitably comfortable case-back. Unique expertise has gone into marrying it with a layer of vulcanized rubber surrounding the central raised engraving of the famous Admiral’s Cup trophy.
Also available with a titanium case, this new version of the tides watch has grown in stature and is now distinguished by extreme readability and a particularly appealing design.
