Armando Simoni founded OMAS (Officina Meccanica "mechanical
factory" Armando Simoni) in 1925 with the philosophy that “a pen
should exemplify the pleasure of writing.” His fascination with
the artistry and equilibrium of ancient Greek architecture led
to the signature Greek frieze pattern on Omas caps.
Distinguished by inventiveness, aesthetics, and all things
mechanical, Simoni’s company grew and is now viewed as a classic
in the world of luxury fountain pens. |
